Christopher Nkunku, a forward for RB Leipzig, has agreed to a pre-contract to join Chelsea in the summer of 2019.
With the German team, Nkunku extended his contract by two years earlier this year, extending it through 2026.
But his new deal has a €60 million (£52.4 million) release clause that becomes effective in the summer of 2019.
However, it is rumored that Chelsea will go above and beyond the release clause in order to secure Nkunku before other interested teams do in the summer.
